NovemberGetFit-SelfEvaluation.

   

  This semester has changed my whole outlook on gym.  I'm so proud of trying more and participating more because the feeling of when you finish is amazing. It gives a proud and happy feeling and I always feel more motivated for the next class. Gym has always been a class where we just play "games" to pass time but being in GetFit has allowed me to work on myself as an individual for a change while still being a good team sport in various activities! I'm not only proud of myself but proud at my classmates for creating such a positive, enjoyable and motivational environment.
 
    Being in GetFit has taught me numerous exercises and stretching techniques that will benefit certain parts of my body.  The recent field trip to Panorama Dance Studio had taught me many moves in Jazz for example, the Shanay.  Also, from doing yoga a lot I have learnt many beneficial yoga moves.  I have learn many small aspects from each field trip I have participated in and I hope to learn more before the semester end!

   My goal for the end of the semester is to hopefully continue the many exercises I have learnt in GetFit.  I also wish to maybe revisit some of the field trip locations we have been to.  For instance, I would like to revisit the Grouse Grind.  Another goal of mine is to improve in the many fitness activities we participate in.  For example, the beep test, pond run, and community run.

Ice Skating Field Trip and More.




      Although not everyone could making it to the ice skating field trip, I had a great time!  It had been a long time since I've been ice skating and to be able to skate in a practically empty arena was awesome.  I enjoyed how at first we got free time and fitness was assigned after.  Power skating in circles is a great workout and also very enjoyable for me.  Field trips like this make me satisfied that I chose GetFit.  The field trips that we have been able to participate in have been an amazing and unregretful experience.  I also love that we have days where we can play vollyball or badminton for the whole class.  Since some days I don't wish to do a  full fitness workout, even though the feeling after the workouts are great! Yesterday we did the extended beep test and I feel proud of myself because I pushed myself to do more and it paid off.  Through doing the extended beep test I now know that my fitness has improved a lot!  My first actual break was at level 7.  My next goal is to stop at level 8.5 or 9 atleast by the end of the semester. :)

GetFit Reflection.





Getfit has been an amazing experience so far.  I have been much more motivated this year in GetFit!  Being with all girls and friends motivates me because we all have similar goals which is to stay fit and expand our fitness routine knowledge for the future.  In GetFit I've enjoyed the field trips we have been on because its great knowing that we go on field trips even in highschool.  Going to splits was awesome because it brought back memories from when I was younger and did gymnastics.  The sponge pit was my favourite!  My fitness has improved by a lot.  How I know is because my "mind over matter" has gotten stronger. Instead of giving up, I try and do even more than I can do on an average day.  The motivation has helped my fitness a lot and with this I have also improved on beep tests and hill runs! Being able to do fitness everyday has made me feel much better as a human being.  I feel more healthy and contented with myself.  My success within the class is that I contribute much more instead of just standing in the back.  By this I mean that I try and participate much more confidently during games and other activities we do in GetFit.   In GetFit I want to continue to stregthen my "mind over matter" ability and work more on my leadership skills. This semester I would like to accomplish the full feeling of knowing that I tried, participated and gave all my best in every activity we challenge ourselves to do.

GetFit has been a beneficial class for me so far.  The fact that it is a class that focuses on a female's fitness only is great.  This class helps me prepare myself on how to stay fit when I graduate from highschool.  Yesterday myself and many other girls in GetFit got the oppurtunity to take part in the Grouse Grind.  It was my first time and I wasn't exactly sure what it would be like.  I would most defiitely like to try again one day with more time.  I'm looking forward to the many other field trips we will do this semester in GetFit!
